Here’s how my space works.

1)My rates are guaranteed till the date noted below (scroll down & see deadlines & # of cabin rates reserved).

2)If NCL is offering a reduced deposit, like now (till June 21), you get to take advantage of that too.

3)No cabin #’s are held.  The longer you wait to make a deposit, more cabins are gone.

4)If you want a different category than what I am holding, or I run out of cabins, the cost, is whatever NCL is charging at the time.  Remember, rates climb – Call with your deposit if you want it.

5)No categories with an X, can be added to my group, nor receive any NCL’s advertised Perks.

6)If there’s an offer that is better than being in my group, we got after that offers.  Example: Kids free, Latitude offer, onboard credit offer .  Whichever is better.

7)If no cabins sold on a given date, I lose the rate and the added amenities.  Make deposit before deadline.

8)Remember, with any cruise, government fees can go up or down, up till day of sailing.  You could arrive onboard & have rec’d a credit or a charge !

9)If there are any typos, I apologize now, and not held responsible.  This is a lot of work – hours of preparation - buying space, look-up current pricing, and type this up (smile) !

Why try a Norwegian cruise ?

It’s Freestyle.

*No required dress up nights (optional)

*No set regimented dining times.  Decide based on your chosen entertainment schedule.

I’ve been on 25+ Norwegian Cruises.

If 2 of my best girlfriends heard me say (surely they will be reading this – smile), that I’m beginning to think Norwegian, over Carnival, they would smile !  Norwegian is about 3 star, like Carnival.  They are not the Carnival FuN ships, but they have their own added value.

Usually, you are either a Carnival person or a Norwegian.  Not always both.  Yet, I have several friends, show sail both, yet prefer Norwegian.

About every other year, our convention is on Norwegian.  Norwegian is really good to us.  It’s my buddy Drew’s favorite cruise line, when it comes to most amenities received.  Norwegian’s President & CEO, Andy Stuart, cruises with us each time !  Along with our 3 personal top sales managers of NCL.

We have amenities on almost ‘all’ Norwegian dates.  However, only dates I reserve, have the Exclusive Extra amenities, which are offered here … And will no longer be available to add after June 15 (sad).

Why am I changing how I feel about Norwegian.

*They’re rates are great, when you buy early.  They sell out in Europe & Hawaii !  And now their short  cruises d/t the complimentary Ultimate Drink pkg auto included with each cruise (their gratuities onboard are higher than their other cruises).

*They have educated their reservation folks on land, 10 times better than they use to be (happy girl) !

*For me, the Norwegian food has improved, from years back.  I didn’t say perfect.  I can’t compare them to how I feel about Princess or Holland America good.  But Carnival’s food, has gone down (I didn’t say Guys Burger), based on my last 2 cruises, so Norwegian is really good in comparison.  I’m a foodie !

*There’s a 24 hour place to eat.  Love O’Sheehan’s (yet, their options have gone down).

*There’s lots of dining options.  Those that are complimentary & those you pay for.  Other than the Epic, these extra dining rooms don’t really seem to be in the way !

*Specialty Dining.  You can pre-purchase a 3N dining package and save money – it will cost you a small fortune if you wait & buy a specialty dinner after you’re onboard.  There are upgrade charges, from this cost, on select venues, like the dinner show or seafood.  Though I don’t normally buy any extra Specialty Dining on each ship.  On NCL, it’s well worth it & fun to do something different (just like buying another excursions) - I get 2 free with each cruise, so I most definitely, take advantage of this & love them.  I like the Brazilian place the most.  I never choose the steak place, but everyone else does.  I usually choose 2nd, the French or Teppanyaki (Japanese) show !

*Though I normally prefer ‘set dining times’, I’m beginning to change my thoughts on that !

*On their larger new ships, they’re offering some great entertainment, like Royal Caribbean’s bigger ships.  And you can order in advance.  They even have a Circus d’ sole type dinner show – I love.  In general, NCL has always been known for their entertainment, even though for some folks, they may not say the same.

*Such as Norwegian Breakaway, etc, they have a wrap around, outside waterfront.  This is great, especially for Bermuda.

*Such as Norwegian Escape, they have their own brewery onboard (Carnival’s Vista does too – but that was about the only thing I liked about the Vista, and I only went once).

*Their larger ships have a large cafeteria.  Lots of options !

*One night in the cafeteria, they usually have lobster !

*I’m discovering that folks on NCL are staying up past midnight & 1am. Unlike other cruise lines, who are more & more, going to bed early.  Their casino rocks at night !

*They’re waiting lines at the Purer’s desk, doesn’t seem to stay long, like Royal Caribbean’s big ships.

* There have been issues with NCL bookings, however, our personal relationship, has truly been there – unlike our Carnival Reps, who have no power !  Power is an important added value !

What I don’t like ?  These aren’t the worse things !

*I can expect a 30 minute wait, every time I have to call them !  Uggg.  Understand, that means, they booking lots of cruises !

*Whenever making changes, their computer will often, in error, drop the amenities !  I have to double check, each booking, in my groups, at time of finalization !

*The smaller ships, don’t care much for their cafeteria.  I find, their options are minimal (see above, their larger ships).  My feeling about Carnival, even on their larger ships, I don’t care for the café food options (I didn’t say, Guy’s Burger).

*Pursers desk onboard, not so great, if you have an issues.  They tend to back each other, whether it’s right or wrong.  Meaning, they seldom make exceptions (with rules).  Late night, that person is not always smiling.

*Room Service charge, but so does Royal Caribbean (see above – 24 hour dining option).

*There’s not an option for set dining.  The reason I like ‘set’ when going with 3+ people, is if one is always late, it’s there option to be late – If it’s open dining, then we’re all late (sad).

*It’s hard for large groups to dine together, since it’s open dining.  Arrangements can be made, in most cases.

Isn’t it time you tried a Norwegian ?

Especially when you don’t have to pay for all these amenities !
