Royal Caribbean Non-Refundable Deposit (NRD) …

& Early Booking Incentive is here !   July 1, 2017 

Select ships and dates have already begun offering NRD offers.  Beginning July 1, 2017, all sailings will offer NRD rates.



What is a NRD rate ? 

It’s a rate where the deposit is not refundable at any time after it has been paid.


Is it true … All future cruise deposits will be a NRD ?

No.  Only those with a NRD rate.


Is it true … Will the NRD offers, usually be the lower rates offered ?



Is it true … Royal Caribbean is going to offer an Early Booking Incentive (prior to 6 months from sailing) with NRD rates ?

Yes.  5N’s & less, $25 OBCC for inside/outside and $50 OBCC for balcony/suite.

6N’s & longer, $50 OBCC for inside/outside and $100 OBCC for balcony/suite.


Is it true … A deposit is required at time of reserving a NRD offer ?

Yes.  Payment of full deposit and full name are required for each guest at the time of booking.


Is it true … If you buy a cruise with no cabin assignment, it will automatically be a NRD rate ? 

Yes.  To include ‘inside guarantee’, ‘oceanview guarantee’, ‘balcony guarantee’, etc.


Is it true … Does ‘no cabin #’s’ apply to groups ?

Yes. If the rate is still available, however, there are no more cabins to assign, to purchase the group rate offered, it will be a NRD.


Is it true … If you book a Grand Suite or higher it is automatically a non-refundable deposit rate ?



Is it true … NRD rates are combinable with any existing National Brand promotional offers (public offer) available at time of booking ?



Is it true … NRD offers can move into a group ?



If it true … If you already have a vacation booked, and a NRD lower rate is offered, if you accept, your reservation will automatically fall under the NRD terms and conditions listed here ?



Is it true … It’s yet to be determined if a NRD rate can take advantage of lower rate offers before final payment ?

Hasn’t yet been confirmed. 


Is it true … There’s a change fee if I’m booked under a NRD rate and I want to change my ship/sail date before final payment ?

Yes.  $100 per guest change fee.  This does not include Cruises Inc’s upfront change fee.  Change fee does not apply to changes to a pax in the cabin, category change or price option change.


Is it true … There’s a new fee every time I change my ship/sail date ?

Yes.  Along with Cruises Inc upfront change fees.


Is it true … As long as you cancel a NRD offer prior to final payment, I will receive a Future Cruise Certificate (FCC) for the remaining balance after change fees apply ?


Exception:  For NRD Bookings that require a deposit of $100USD or less, no FCC or any other compensation or credit of any kind will be issued.

Is it true … I will have one (1) full year to use the Future Cruise Certificate on another sailing.

Yes.  Applicable to cruise that departs no more than 12-months after the issue date of the FCC (the “Expiration Date”).  Any amount remaining after the Expiration Date will be void and forfeited.


Is it true … The FCC is non-transferable, non-refundable, and not redeemable for any other form of compensation, credit, or cash.

Right !


Is it true … Royal Caribbean reserves the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions and to change or update fares, fees and surcharges at any time without prior notice ?
