Day 1 – July 22 (Sun) – London, England
Your package begins at your hotel (see below, transfers from the airlport to your hotel is available for additional cost). Your tour begins with a RIVER CRUISE and see London from a different perspective. This evening, enjoy a three-course dinner with wine at a traditional London pub, followed by a private, narrated CRUISE on the Thames River to admire some of the capital’s most beautiful illuminated sights. (Dinner).

Day 2 – July 23 (Mon) – London
Morning sightseeing with a Local Guide includes all the famous landmarks: the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben beside the Thames River, Westminster Abbey, Whitehall’s mounted horseguards and the Prime Minister’s Downing Street, Piccadilly Circus, and Buckingham Palace. The highlight is a visit to ST. PAUL’S CATHEDRAL, Sir Christopher Wren’s masterpiece built between 1675 and 1708.  Free time in the afternoon for independent activities. (Breakfast)

Note, reason for change:  There has been a recent time change to the Changing of the Guard ceremony which means we can no longer include both St. Paul’s and the ceremony. 

Day 3 – July 24 (Tues) – London – Brussels, Belgium
Meet your Tour Director and traveling companions, and head for the railway station to board the high-speed EUROSTAR TRAIN to Brussels, Belgium. Upon arrival at the hotel, the remainder of the day is yours to do as you wish. (Breakfast)

Day 4 – July 25 (Wed) – Brussels – Amsterdam, Holland
After breakfast, a comfortable drive will bring you to Amsterdam, Holland’s 700-year-old capital. Your discovery of Holland features a guided sightseeing tour. Enjoy a CANAL CRUISE past gabled merchant houses, arched drawbridges reminiscent of the Golden Age, and the strikingly modern buildings of a young-at-heart city. Next, visit the fabulous RIJKSMUSEUM with its priceless paintings by Rembrandt and other Dutch masters. Then, time to explore Dam Square and the city center on your own. Join back together for dinner at a traditional restaurant tonight. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 5 – July 26 (Thurs) – Amsterdam – Rhineland, Germany – Würzburg
On the way to Germany, pass the Dutch region best known as the locale of A Bridge Too Far. Highlight of the day is a romantic RHINE CRUISE past castle-crested cliffs, terraced vineyards, and half-timbered towns. On to Würzburg, a baroque city known for its cathedral, bridges, palace, and gardens. (Breakfast)

Day 6 – July 27 (Fri) – Würzburg – Munich
Drive along the Romantic Road into Southern Germany to Munich, Bavaria’s proud capital. Time at leisure upon arrival. Reunite with your group for dinner. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 7 – July 28 (Sat) – Munich – Neuschwanstein – Innsbruck, Austria
Sightseeing with a Local Guide of Germany’s “Secret Capital” features the Olympic Stadium, built for the 1972 Olympics; the 1,000-foot-high Olympic Tower; and Königsplatz, used for Nazi rallies during World War II. Drive along the Ludwigstrasse, and see the Bavarian Arch of Triumph and Field Marshall Hall. Also visit lively MARIENPLATZ with the Old and the New Town Halls and the gothic Frauenkirche. Finish your time in Munich with lunch at a local restaurant, complete with Germany’s most famous product- BEER! Drive into the garden-like landscapes of the Bavarian Alps and visit King Ludwig’s NEUSCHWANSTEIN CASTLE, which famously inspired Walt Disney. On to Innsbruck in the Tyrolean mountains for the evening. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).   

Day 8 – July 29 (Sun) – Innsbruck – St. Moritz, Switzerland
This morning, enjoy a pleasant walk through the quaint medieval lanes to Emperor Maximilian’s GOLDEN ROOF. Next, a scenic drive into the Swiss Engadine, considered by many as the most beautiful mountain area in the world with its deep-blue lakes, airy larch forests that turn golden in the fall, mountain peaks exceeding 12,000 feet, and quaint villages with massive white stone houses in the characteristic Grisons style. The rest of the day is at leisure in ritzy St. Moritz. (Breakfast).  

Day 9 – July 30 (Mon) – St. Moritz – Bernina Express Train – Tirano, Italy – Venice
Today, experience a memorable trip aboard the BERNINA EXPRESS. Crossing the Alps to Tirano in Italy, this spectacular rail journey ascends to altitudes exceeding 6,560 feet above sea level. Rejoin your group for a transfer to Venice. Enter in style by PRIVATE BOAT and meet your Local Guide. PRIVATE WATER-TAXIS will transfer you to ST. MARK’S SQUARE. Then enjoy a walking tour through the city of romantics and see St. Mark’s Basilica, Doges’ Palace and the Bridge Of Sighs. An unforgettable dinner this evening. (Breakfast, Dinner).  

Day 10 – July 31 (Tues) – Venice – Lucerne, Switzerland
Journey back across the Alps from Italy to Switzerland through the Gotthard Tunnel and on to the shores of Lake Lucerne. On your walking tour this afternoon, admire Thorwaldsen’s impressive LION MONUMENT, dedicated to the Swiss Guards who protected the Royal House of France during the French Revolution, and ornate patrician houses of the walled Old Town, then cross the famous covered CHAPEL BRIDGE to the Jesuit church. The remainder of the day is at leisure to relax or continue exploring. (Breakfast).  

Day 11 – August 1 (Wed) – Lucerne – Interlaken – Gruyère – Geneva
Continue to Interlaken. The town’s unique location, settled between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz and surrounded by the world-famous Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau mountains, guarantees spectacular views. The next stop is Gruyère. Visit the magnificent CASTLE. Walk through eight centuries of architecture, history, and culture, and enjoy lunch with local specialties and a traditional dessert with meringue and double crème. Journey to stunning Geneva, the second-largest city in Switzerland, with its fantastic lakeside location and breathtaking panoramas of the Alps. (Breakfast, Lunch).  

Day 12 – August 2 (Thurs) – Geneva – Beaune, France – Paris
Travel across the border into France and arrive in Beaune, capital of the region. Enjoy an orientation of this beautiful town with its impressive Hôtel-Dieu and Notre Dame Basilica. Continue to Paris, the “City of Light.” A trip to Paris is not complete without a visit to one of the famous PARISIAN CABARET to enjoy an enchanting night. (Breakfast)

Day 13 – August 3 (Fri) – Paris  

Discover the world capital of chic and style with a Local Guide and admire its most famous sites: the Opéra, Arc de Triomphe, Champs-Elysées, and more. For a bird’s-eye view, take the elevator up to the second floor of Paris’ most iconic landmark: the EIFFEL TOWER. Next, continue to MONTMARTRE, Paris’ renowned art district. Ride the little TRAIN through narrow lanes, then follow your Tour Director on a walking tour and enjoy the spectacular view of Paris from the Sacre Coeur Basilica. End up at Place du Tertre, where artists display their art. Tonight, a special farewell dinner with wine has been prepared at a local restaurant, the best way to say au revoir, Paris. (Breakfast, Dinner).  

Day 14 – August 4 (Sat) – Depart Paris, France
Your tour ends this morning with breakfast.  (see below, available transfers). (Breakfast).
