Carnival offers a choice of itineraries, from two- to 17-days, to worldwide destinations, including the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Mexican Riviera, Alaska, Hawaii, the Panama Canal, Bermuda, Europe, New England and the Canadian Maritimes. In 2006, several new sailings will be offered from all along the Eastern Coast to the new ports of call. The line, which was formed in 1972, is celebrating over 35 years of offering its passengers fun. However, "Today's Carnival" is a vastly different company than the one started from humble beginnings three decades ago. Carnival was launched with a converted Transatlantic ocean liner and a dream of entrepreneur Ted Arison, a pioneer in the modern-day cruise industry, who set out to realize his vision of making a vacation experience once reserved for the very rich accessible to the average person. The rest, as they say, is history. more

Featured Destination: Australia/Circle Pacific
Some time in our lives we'd all love to leave our footprints on a white sand beach in Tahiti and Bora Bora; or snorkel the crystal clear waters of the Great Barrier Reef. It is here, in Australia and the South Pacific, that natural beauty abounds. Fascinating people inhabit peaceful islands and charming cities combine old-world atmosphere with hardy, frontier spirit. A cruise to Australia, New Zealand, and/or the South Pacific can fulfill almost every exotic adventure that a serious traveler could dream. Cruises and cruisetours start at 14 nights long and sail seasonally between October and April. The beauty of these itineraries is that you can see as much of the South Pacific as you like in one cruise. For example, you might combine Tahiti with New Zealand, or New Zealand with Australia. This means you could begin or end your cruise in a variety of ports including Hawaii or ports in the Orient and Asia. more |
